I could not pass away when I've seen this beautiful collection of the photos representing sleeping puppies. After the bad experience I had yesterday, when I've seen an old and ill rottweiler left by his owner on the parking place near a supermarket, I was very upset. That dog was so calm and looked trustfully on all the persons around him. He was so sure that somebody will help him. He did not even try to go somewhere. He was calm and good. How could that animal, his owner, left such a dog????? What heart has that beast?

I needed something positive. I needed to know that there are persons who would never do it...

You Turn Home with your New Friend

When training your dog, be sure to enforce every command you give. This helps your dog understand that they must listen to you when you give a command. If your dog learns to think that he can can ignore you when you give a command, it can be very difficult to correct this.

Reinforce desirable behavior from your dog. Don't just rely on treats though. You can reinforce these behaviors through positive attention as well. Petting your dog and talking to him in cheerful tones can be a good incentive too. So can a new squeaky toy or a trip to the park.

Remember that sometimes patience is key, don't become frustrated if your dog doesn't catch on right away. It would be nice if every dog could understand your every command but you have to remember they can't. Just try and be sure you are aware of your dog's emotions and when they do follow your command reward them so they know what they did was right.

Not all dogs are comfortable around other dogs or people. The best way to train your dog to be more comfortable around other animals or people is to expose them to as many people and other dogs as often as possible, preferably earlier in their life. This will make them accustomed to being around others.

Consider your dog's personality as you begin your training program. Make sure to start slowly if your pet has aggressive tendencies.  If you try to exert control over a dog that prefers to be dominant, your pet may react aggressively toward you and derail your training plans.

When you are working on dog training your newest addition to the family, try not to accidentally punish the animal for good behavior.  If you have gotten a puppy, for example, and he goes to the bathroom outside correctly do not leave the dog out there alone.  Take time with him and play with him because if you leave him alone he will be sad and think he did something wrong.

If your dog is misbehaving, try to determine why. It is important to work out why your dog is doing what it does. Knowing the reason for poor behavior can make training significantly easier. It is far more difficult to correct an action that you do not fully understand the reasoning behind.

Throwing out your dog's food bowl can assist you with your training program.  Studies have shown that animals respond well to working for their meals.  Incorporate food as a reward in your training and also, use it for entertainment purposes.  You can do this by putting the food in a toy or a puzzle.

Dog training is not something that is easy to do properly, which means you should do your homework. Learning how to train your dog is almost as important as learning about dog behaviors and how they interact in a pack. Knowing what your dog expects from a pack leader makes training the animal much easier.

Everybody knows stories about the dogs that did something good for us. And these stories are not like those about Nessy or smething like this. These stories are from our personal lives:
a boxer of my aunt saved him from bandits killed by one of them,
the old dog left by his owners in our street did not make a step from the place where his owners left him waiting that they will turn to take him -he waited till the death under the hot summer sun left without water and food...
There are many similar stories.

Dog Breeds -Incredible Variety

My passion for dog breeds began when my mongrel Jacob disappeared and I bought an Airedale. Later, I had a Rottweiler, so, I think, I have an idea about the differences among the breeds, even if all my dogs had splendid souls, and I think, I was honoured to live with such brave creations that surely enriched my life and learned me many things. (photos are just to illustrate)

But when you want to take a pet, you have to think about the qualities the humans have increased in every of the breeds they created. So, for example, my Airedale, Bessy, was a kind of bomb full of energy.Very clever, she had always own opinion and took her own decisions, sometimes maximalistic or radical. By the way, it's my impression, that this, last, is the quality of all the females.

And how different was Imir, Rottweiler!
He was calm, with very stable character, conscious of his enormous power that he never used against someone. Never. If he wanted to show his disappointment and to warn about it, he found always ways to demonstrate it without doing anything dangerous for the persons. He knew perfectly that only to see him near me just averted the spiteful persons they have to show all the respect.

I had many other animals in my life: fishes, parrots, pigeons, farm animals, and the same considerations I can express about all of them. There are many breeds, and all they are equal and different at the same time. In any case, all they are living beings to respect, to give them our love. And it's the possibility to show the best sides of our souls.

Dog Using a Washing Machine

This photo is from an article of MailOnline telling about the capacities of a dog that does practically everything for her owner, paralysed from the waist down. We all know just that the dogs can go shopping, help to wear clothes to their owners. We have seen those dogs that accompain blind persons. My uncle that was blind from the birth, had those trained guide-dogs, and I could personally experience how clever they are. Once I came in the house of my uncle after a surgery and was very week. The enormous 1 meter high dog was very happy to see me and turned her tail so that the aunt was afraid she will hit me. The aunt said to me to stay far from the tail, but the dog understood immediately the problem (HOW???) and continued to make me the feast with the tail under her belly.

I know what are able to do the dogs but this case was somethng new for me too. I had never heard about the dogs using washing machines.

Those Good Giants -Rottweilers

I had different dogs in my life and have some opinions myby not very orthodox aabout the dogs generally. First of all, the dog is a reflectin of the owner. Animals generally are the masters of the life in common and they never attac others without a reason. If the owner has psychological problems, the dog probably will be educated to compensate them. That is why many rottweilers are ferocious. Their owners buy a "feroceous" dog to compensate own need to demonstrate own "force" to other persons.

Among the other dogs I had and have seen, the rottweilers are the most calm and pacific. They know about own power, they feel themselves over those other weaklings and they look at the life from this point of view. If you observe the very little dogs, you will notice they allways bark, are agressive and often the owners have to put them a muzzle because they tend to bite persons. Rottweilers will lay calm, observing you.

It is possible to understand little dogs. They are so little, so fragile, nobody notices them, nobody takes them for "personalities". But they need to become the "Kings" too, it's normal for all living beings to try to take a good place in this life.

Once we were on the beach with our dogs.Very far from us, there was a family with children. The little boy came to us from that far where they were to play with the dogs. I was sure Imir never will do something to a child (they understand very well that these are little beings and not adults) and did not say anything. Let him play. Imir was the best ever example of the kindness in this world.

In one moment the boy opened the jaws of Imir and put his head in Imir's mouth. Maybe he wanted to play circus and lions' tamer.

You had to see me in that moment. I stood paralyzed at the place and in the movement I did when I've seen the scene. I was afraid to move, to make something that could provoke Imir to close his jaws.

With happy laugh the boy took his head out of the mouth of Imir, and I surely had some white hairs on my head. At that moment arrived -calm- the father of the boy.

The dogs know everything about us. They know all our "faults" and know to use them for their benefit. So, they have the capacity to communicate on the level we are not able to heat. Maybe it's telepathy or sound frequency that we don't hear -I don't know.

But they have surely many sides of their behaviour that we, children of human haughtiness, wanted to have in other humans and don't find. And first of all we want the unconditioned love, absolutely unpossible between humans quality. And dogs give us this and other precious feelings. 
They say, Saint-Exupéry said: More I know the dogs, more I despise humans.

Puppy, a Son of a Cat

You can see a normal cat's family on my photo. The mother and 2 her kittens. And you think maybe the cats make always other cats? You are wrong. I found a notice among the news today about a cat that had a puppy in Georgia.



Journalists told this story to entertain readers, but scientists say, it's unpossible because the biology of 2 species is too different that they could mate.

True or not -itßs not the first case in the world. 4 years ago one cat had 2 puppies in Brazil and the cat's owner said he saw it mating with the dog of the neighbour.

Meity and Bimo the Shar Pei

Berry Sudirno from Jakarta/Indonesia, author of these interesting blogs: howtoboostyourwealth, journeytomakemoney, sweetjourneyinmylife .
You know him in my blogs from his articles Endagered Species -Orangutans, that many of you found interesting, and Batu Caves Hindu's Shrines that I posted in my "Vacation and Travel Talk" some days ago. The new article of Berry is about Shar Pei.

Meity (my daughter in law)’s friend just come back from China after long stayed there followed her father as a diplomat, she brought two male Shar Pei, one of them is namely Bimo nine months old, this kind of dog has a life span up to 10 years.

Shar Pei is a breed dog that originated in China and has the distinctive features of deep wrinkles and blue-black tongue. Shar Pei has an alternative name Chinese Shar Pei or Chinese Fighting Dog.

Shar Pei has a temperament loyal, intelligent, playful, active, dominant, stubborn, bold, brave, easy going, calm, independent, devoted, in need of a confident handler firm, gentle, consistent training. If poorly socialized or trained, it can become especially territorial and aggressive.

Shar Pei’s were once named as one of the world’s rarest dog breeds by Time Magazines and the Guinness Book of World Records, and the American Kennel Club did not recognize the breed until 1991 (Wikipedia).

Bimo the Shar Pei is suspicious of strangers, Bimo barked at me and tried to jump on me when I touch the fence of their house, fortunately Bimo was calmed by the owner. Bimo is amenable to accepting strangers given time and proper introduction like Meity, because she has frequent visits to her friend’s house, and she could play around with Bimo as seen on these pictures.

Working dogs are amazing animals specially trained to protect people and to make life easier for them. Some working dogs act as eyes for blind people, ears for the hearing impaired, and helpers for the physically challenged. They also protect sheep from wolves, and they can help a police officer catch criminals. These special dogs can find victims of disasters under lots of rubble, and they can find people lost in the woods. They are awesome. (sourse)

The first visit of the year

Maybe you will laugh, but it's the most heroic being I've ever seen in my life.
This dog is stray. We meet him normally under the mountain about 1 km far from our house. He is blind. If you look at his right eye, you can see -not very good in my photo because he is afraid of me and I can't come too close to him- the eye is white. I think the other eye is not very good too.

Because he is blind and completly indipendent being, he has always 1-2 legs broken. And maybe they were not healed good. In every case he is lame.

Probably, he knows where to go to eat while he is alive else. And not skinny.

I thought, what would do a human being on his place? What would do I on his place?
You know. More or less.

And now, answer my question: what is this dog doing near my house that is situated about 1 km far from the place he normally lives? And it's not a normal way distance. It's a mountain and there is not a nice direct road to come till here. Specially if you are blind and lame.

So, what do you thnk?
He presents here as a admirer of my Stassi (that is 4 times biger).
