This sad notice I've just read different times. First it was about Pandas. They sad, the international society is not more interested in the conservation of this specie because they do not collaborate, and it seems all the efforts to save them are wane.
Here is the second similar notice. The tigers are not interesting for international society too.
I don't know, if it's true, if we have to believe, or it is only the disperation of the crisis period and the persons do not want to invest in the future of our Earth more.
In any case, I think you will enjoy this nice and cute video of BBC.

Once More About Kakapo
This beauty is called Strigops habroptilus o Kakapo that means in Maori-language "nighttime parrot". The photo on the left is from the Kakapo Recovery Programme that I visit from time to time to have the newest notices about this bird. You know that I follow 2 programs: the Gorilla Saving Program too. So, these 2 sites about the 2 of the most endangered animals.Imagine that is possible to go to work as a volunteer there (there is a special page for those who wants to try this way to help this incredible parrot). Sincerely I would like to do it. As you know, I live all the life with animals and birds, am mother, veterinarian and everything and everybody for them, and am not afraid to remain completely alone day and night. But there are many other terms and conditions... And it's too far...
So, the only thing I can do for them is to tell about to all you who reads this blog. And hope you enjoy to read about them.

Drunk Kwitondo
If you follow this blog for some time you know that I visit the site of WildlifeDirect to read news about gorillas. This time seems there is everything all right there. There were processed for killing 5 gorillas in 2007 the higher protection officers. It was very courageous from the director of the organization, I think.
Well, here I share with you the link to the article and many photos of drunk with bamboo juice Kwitondo published by dailymail.co.uk
The author of the photos is wildlife photographer Andy Rouse
The author of Gorilla protection blog says he does not believe Kwitondo is drunk, but the photos are really very beautiful.

Dendrarium. Sochi. The Best Way To Wash Your Slip
Well, here I found only some animals -not animals, birds if we want to be precise. But I've seen a very funny scene.
By the way, I have friends that wanted to grow ostriches. They had some of them -young and of the same color males and females. They could not distinguish them and said they think these are males and those are females. We have hens and cocks and I know to understand "who is who" when they are young (I wrote different hen-stories in this blog in spring). Imagine, it was the same for ostriches too. So I could explain to my friends that they are not right.

Unknown Animal In The Park
I visited only 2 places for tourists when I was in Sochi. One of them was "Arboretum" (Dendrarium). More information and photos of this park I will publish in other blogs later. Here I wanted to tell you about a strange animal I've seen there.
The lower part of the park has a very nice fenced part with a sort of river. There live some species of animals. Swans, little hens and... look at the right side of the photo. Here is it!
There was an entire family of black mammals. My photocamera is not very good and I could not make good photos there in that dark forest, so I tryed to come nearere and nearer...
At that moment one of that animals wanted to visit it's neighbours.
There were some hen from the other side of the bamboo. Interesting is that the hens was not afraid of these terible and big neighbour. They only went a little aside from it.
Somebody of the visitors said: It's Nutria! But I thought, nutria has a tail and is a sort of rat. And than I did not understand why the hens are not afraid of this rat.
Today I found this one between my photos when I wanted to show them to my husband. And it is possible to see the tail of the rat on the photo here. Yes, it is a nutria, my husband said.
So, I have seen this animal for the first time in my life.

'Parrot Of The Night'
Do you like KAKAPO? (Great name, eh?)
You can't not love them. They are so incredible!
I've seen a film about kakapo for the first time some years ago. Yesterday my husband found an other film about them and fortunately called me to come (I had to cook something to eat) but I saw only the last minutes of the story. So I wanted to read last news about this bird today and found a site with a blog of the rangers from the place where the kakapo live.
This is the address of the site: Kakapo Recovery Programme
and the photo is form this site, clear.
There are only 86 kakapo. But the very nice news are that they have 7 babies! 4 girls and 3 boys!
Forgot to say it: they were practically extinct because of the rats that humans took in New Zealand. These parrots can't fly, they walk. And they walk in a very funny way. And they need very great territory.

Hippo's,Gorilla's and Ranger's Tragedy
Thank you for all your encouragement and support. Please lobby. I do not know much about lobbying outside of my country and how you put pressure, but anything you can do to help us get back into the park and protect the animals will be much appreciated. Thank you to you all.
This is an appeal from Virunga National Park. I wrote about the situation there maybe a month ago. That day, there were different rangers that went in the forest to protect gorillas and did not turn back. The good notice is, they are alive. But the bad notice is that the rebels do not leave the park and continue to kill animals. For meat and for profit. Persons die too.
The direction of the park needs help. You can read about it in their blog here
They ask about not very great donations, from $15 if you see this special ranger's blog
Every blogger asks today money for a cup of coffee and I know, they receive this money sometimes. Here they speak not about coffee, but about help for survival of animals and of persons that die for really great reason.
Not only money are important. Leave your comments in their blogs to give them power in their fight. Everybody of us knows how is difficult to advance without a good word of other people.

What the tiger thinks
We see often documentaries about National parks in India that preserve tigers too.
And we think and it is said often that tigers are afraid of elefants and persons on the elefant are sure.
See this film.
Amazing tiger jump - Click Here for more great videos and pictures!
First of all you see how high is the grass. We have seen the film different times to see the tiger arrive.
Second. The tiger has nothing with elefant,it is angree with human.
We say, animals are stupid. Only in the last time I hear, they had to survive so as we had. And they know, what they do. There was an elefant closely to the place where the tiger was...
