My passion for dog breeds began when my mongrel Jacob disappeared and I bought an Airedale. Later, I had a Rottweiler, so, I think, I have an idea about the differences among the breeds, even if all my dogs had splendid souls, and I think, I was honoured to live with such brave creations that surely enriched my life and learned me many things. But when you want to take a pet, you have to think about the qualities the humans have increased in every of the breeds they created. So, for example, my Airedale, Bessy, was a kind of bomb full of energy.Very clever, she had always own opinion and took her own decisions, sometimes maximalistic or radical. By the way, it's my impression, that this, last, is the quality of all the females.
And how different was Imir, Rottweiler!
He was calm, with very stable character, conscious of his enormous power that he never used against someone. Never. If he wanted to show his disappointment and to warn about it, he found always ways to demonstrate it without doing anything dangerous for the persons. He knew perfectly that only to see him near me just averted the spiteful persons they have to show all the respect.

I had many other animals in my life: fishes, parrots, pigeons, farm animals, and the same considerations I can express about all of them. There are many breeds, and all they are equal and different at the same time. In any case, all they are living beings to respect, to give them our love. And it's the possibility to show the best sides of our souls.

Weight Loss Exercises
If you are attentive to the weight, you have to watch this video: how this walrus is brave to make aerobics.
From other side, it proves that the aerobics does not solve the problems of excessive weight.
Even if I don't know how is the ideal weight for walruses. :0))))

A Sad Story about Trustful Piglet
This sad story I noticed when I visited the Museum in Paestum, a very important excavation site not too far from Salerno. When I walked in the Roman part of it, Museum, I was fascinated by this statue: a woman that had this little piglet snuggled up trustfully to the ankle of the woman. I was on the point of shed a few tears about the great love and understanding that ancient persons demonstrated in confront to animals, and the passion for pigs-pets in Ancient Rome as today, that is immortalized in many statues and paintings, when I finally read the table under the feet of the woman.
Ahhh... Nothing romantic, my friends. The woman was a priestess of... well, I can't remember... Maybe Isis? And the poor trustful pig was the usual sacrificial offering to the Deity.
Well, it's surely not the same sort of love our animals enjoy today...
