My first activity in internet was partecipation on the internet projects fighting the barbaric killing of the millions and millions of baby-seals. I opend a forum (I don't post there more because I had problems with it, but you can find else interesting photos and information there) and posted there different appeals of the animal protection organizations. I'm proud that some visitors of that forum signed that appeals. So I could help.

In the time I am in internet there were hundreds of appeals -and I rarely partecipate now. It's because they say all these internet appeals do not serve, they are zero, only words.

This morning I received a mail from baby-seals protection organization in Italy

The mail told about great victory of the baby-seal protection: 500 000 persons signed that appeal and European Parlament forbot to sell sealproducts in Europe from the next year.

We can to speak about 2 great results:

Dangerous Games With Wild Animals

From time to time I write about dangerous usage to see animals as toys. As example, my post New Domestic Animals. Even a little shimp is much more powerful as a man -as you can see in this video too:




I remembered a story about dolphin that killed a man because, drunk as he was, put different things and liquids in the breathing orifice (excuse me, don't know the rigt word) of the dolphin.

Yesterday I've seen a documentary where a wale that did not want to be caressed by a girl, took her in the depth of the sea, about 10 meters (and than back in the surface). The cameraman (that was far from the place and could do nothing to help the girl) said, the wale did not want to kill the girl because it COULD take her more in the depth.
They say the dolphins punish their kids in this way. They know very well how much air have they and can resist. So, I think the wale knows it very well too and it was the education, not killing from it's side.

Tragedy In The Sea

This day began with nice notices: Researchers found different new species of fish -a new catfish between them, an alive fish was found on the depth of 2300 meters (I think that meters),
in India were found new caecilias (photo in the bottom -more avout them in my post Mother-caecilia as film-star). Imagin, the man in the video I've seen tells that they, 2 caecilias, come to him, in his house and live now there.

But the bad notice made me very sad:

Federal officials in the U.S. have confirmed what biologists have long thought: The Caribbean monk seal has gone the way of the dodo.

Humans hunting the docile creatures for food, skins, and blubber left the population unsustainable, say biologists, who warn that Mediterranean and Hawaiian monk seals could be the next to go.

The last confirmed sighting of a wild Caribbean monk seal was in 1952 (NatGeographic)

I know, some of you will be really sad about it. JB for example that is always touched with tragedies of friends-animals . And I thought, that I have not to give all you this notice. But the very sad thoughts don't leave me: Till when will humans destroy everything around them?????

Silence About Abuses

My firend, Angela, sent me a mail with photos of those poor baby seals that are killed every year -and killed in this barbaric way. I could not copy those photos. The post could be not so ... as it is now. But I could not do it.

Once I wrote much about this tragedy and asked my readers to firm the appeal to the Canadian Government to finish this terrible practice. Only one person did it.

Maybe we think, it has not sense. Or we can't do anything for them. Or maybe somebody thinks that Canadians are right. Because people eat the meat of baby-seals, so why not.

I don't know, maybe they are right. But as for me, these animals had not finish their life in this way. We have animals for sell too. But we do everything possible that they have happy life and if we have to kill them, we do that they don't suffer too much.

The photos in this post I found looking for more information about baby seals killing in Canada. The site tells about "Up to a quota of another 350,000 baby seals". After seeing that photos those persons continue to eat the meat of baby seals???

With my greatest surprise I saw that the name of the site where I found this is "The EpiscoVeg"

Don't Сonduct Your Children For A Walk In A Zoo

The photo you see here and all the photos of this story made a man that went with his children in a zoo.

First of all the children wanted to see the sheeps. At that time went a worker of the zoo, took one of them and went away. The family followed him and could assist on this terrible flight and end of the alive sheep.

Before you look at the answer I tell you what I learned more in these polls today.
I learned about a traditional Asiatic meal called Balut that is nothing else that "a duck-egg with nearly developed embryo inside boiled alive."

No, I'm meet-eater and can't renounce on meat. We have to eat.
What I don't understand is this bravado of many persons: I ate alive snails, fin of the shark (that was then thrown alive in sea without fins), sushi. It's an other toy? Demonstration of own cruelty of persons that are cowards in their soul?

You will say I'm maximalist as a teenager.
Somebody has to kill animals that I eat. He looks in the eyes of the calf befor killing him. He has to do it. It's his work. I can't do it myself. I see these eyes many years after that film about abuses of animals.

To have good fur the polar foxes are killed inserting them an iron stick in the anus.
A person that works inthose farms has not have "special relations" with animals, because it will kill the soul of the person...

Excuse me if I am too philosophical today.

This is two days worth of dead animals from a small shelter in California.

TWO DAYS!

Every single one of those animals came from somewhere... a puppy mill, a back yard breeder, someone who 'just wanted one litter' from their dog. When you choose to create life, you are responsible for that life. Those animals didn't ask to be born, and they sure didn't ask to die in fear in the hands of a shelter employee. Shelters have NO CHOICE but to euthanize these animals, more and more come in every day. There are far more animals than there are homes.

The ONLY way to stop this wholesale slaughter of healthy, happy pets is to STOP PRODUCING THEM. 99% of pet owners have no 'need' for a 'pure bred' dog. They don't intend to show the dog or compete in breed specific performance trials. Getting an 'AKC' dog from the local paper is no guarantee of health or temperament or quality. In fact, you have a BETTER chance of getting that 'perfect' dog from a reputable rescue where the dogs are evaluated before you adopt them.

I hope the author will forgive me that I copy the text, but it's unpossible to write better.

We had a couple of Rottweilers, you know, but after we had 2 litters and have seen where have to go our puppies, we decided to avoid to give life to these poor beings. Now we have 2 stray cats-females and made them sterilize even all (doctor too) told bad about us. But they put their kittens to us, we grow them till 4-5 months and than... we had to throw them. We love these poor beings, and it was an enormous wound for us. We suffered for different weeks last time.

What can we do? The only way is to stop producing them.

I don't want to express my opinion. Because it could be not right.
Not about the photos. The photographer is brave. And what is he showing us is real life.

I'm thinking about criminal side of our life. We feel too weak in this life. We have to exhibit signs of our power to others. And use animals for it too. I had once an Airedale because I was afraid to go out of the house alown in that period. I spent money for training and felt sure with her.

I know this problem. But I write this post in the category "Abuses".
