A Goat And A Sheep

I know this couple different years. And they are always so: the goat is the boss and the sheep is always one step back and repeating every movement of the goat.

A year ago there were different goats and different sheep. This year remained only these two. The others were not from the same "company" even if they had this strange behaviour. Who knows, are the goats more indipendant? Need all the sheep to follow somebody? I don't know it. I rarely see them in my life.

Sunday I've seen in TV a story about a sheep that thinks it's a dog, a border colly that works in the factory looking for the herd of sheep together with 4 other dogs. And this "dog" does everything the other dogs do.
It's mother, of that lamb, was dead giving it to the light. The newborn lived with the persons and dogs -and now it's a "dog" too.

Drunk Kwitondo

If you follow this blog for some time you know that I visit the site of WildlifeDirect to read news about gorillas. This time seems there is everything all right there. There were processed for killing 5 gorillas in 2007 the higher protection officers. It was very courageous from the director of the organization, I think.

Well, here I share with you the link to the article and many photos of drunk with bamboo juice Kwitondo published by dailymail.co.uk
The author of the photos is wildlife photographer Andy Rouse

The author of Gorilla protection blog says he does not believe Kwitondo is drunk, but the photos are really very beautiful.

To Be A Cat

The spring is the best time for entertainment for the cats. The animals -even the mammals, I think- are not very fast and the cats catch them easily.

I've watched a documentary where a scientist counted how many and what animals catch cats of UK. And he had an incredible number and variety of victims. He even asked UK housewives to take their cats home in the hours when the cats normally go hunting. Because there are too many cats in UK.

We noticed that the main hunters are Basja and Murka. Kotik preferes sausages. And he is not interested to play with these animals. Here on the photo he is only looking at the grasshopper that is a toy of Basja and felt for Kotik.

Basja has different preferences. She eats mices with great pleasure but never grasshoppers or lizards. And becomes very aggressive if I want to take her prey or to free it.

Murka likes to take the mices for our door and chants before she eats or leaves them. Her chants are very beautiful. I don't know, maybe she thinks that her kittens are here or what else. She allows me to take the mouse but goes to look where i throw it and takes it back.

About Ugly Duckling

Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling Fable read with my photos and some comments...

Once upon a time down on an old farm, lived a duck family, ... and many many duck families too. And for this reason there were many-many-many little ducklings

and not only ducklings but chickens too

and not only chickens but many many beautiful goslings

"I can't understand how this ugly duckling can be one of mine!" she said to herself, shaking her head as she looked at her last born. Well, the gray duckling certainly wasn't pretty, and since he ate far more than his brothers, he was outgrowing them.

One day at sunrise, he saw a flight of beautiful birds wing overhead. White, with long slender necks, yellow beaks and large wings, they were migrating south.

The flight of swans winged north again and glided on to the pond. When the duckling saw them, he realized he was one of their kind, and soon made friends.

So Many Beautiful Ducks!

I hope you will enjoy these different types of ducks.
Normally we imagine the ducks so as we learned about them in our childhood. More or less. But there are so many colors and sizes.

We have not ducks at home because they need water to be happy, says my husband and it's difficult to have enough water here on our hill. So, he never wanted to buy them.
From other side, they are as dogs, he says. Who will kill them than?

Specially I like Mandarinas and those other, similar, I forgot the name. Caroline, says my husband. The 2 last photos here. I don't know if somebody eats them. They are very beautiful to have near the house. There was a factory part for kids in Naples Zoo and there were these ducks. It could be real pleasure to have them in the yard...

I think, this video will open the eyes to you too. I could not imagine to see something like this at all.

The autor of the video writes: I thought the tortoises eat grass...
