Serie Of Documentaries About Tigers

I like these animals. As for me, they are the highest grade of evolution even among the top of evolution -felines. It's my personal interpretation of Creation. :)))

By the way, did you know thatthe difference between Panteras family (lions, tigers etc) and other cats is in the pupils of the eye?

This week I'm fortunate -Animal Planet has documentaries about tigers every evening. The greatest gift for Christmas for me. That is why I wanted to tell you what was the last documentary about, in case you haven't watched it.

It was about tiger's roaring.
Did you know that the tiger can hear the low frequences 20 times better as humans can? And better as other animals too. Tigers hear even 1 decibel!

One of the scientists registered the threatening roaring of a male tiger that our ear is not able to hear. She gave it to listen to a female-tiger with her "kittens" and than to a group of very different persons too. Not only the female-tiger was restless. The "kittens" that never could hear something like this, understood the "speach" too.
But the most surprizing was that all the present persons (from children till after 50) felt fear when they listened this registration (among other 5 sounds). So, we HEAR these sounds! And we understand them!

i too love tigers and agree they are the most evolved in the cat family. we live near a zoo and go there not as often as we could, about once a month except in the winter.

our fave is the tiger, gorilla, the parrot, the otter. there were many babies this year which is twice the fun.

it is always a debate whether the animals are happier in the zoo where they live long and become lazy, or in the wild. as i get older i am all for the zoo.

We went in the zoo of Naples too. But there the conditions of the animal were terrible. Now it changed the owner after the police closed it. But we did not were there else.

The modern zoos as "safari" are maybe good for animals, I think. But one antique as that of Naples with the places 30x10 meters for lions ans 2x3 for tigers are not good.

I agree with you, Babs, it's so: "there is something about tigers" -I could never describe WHAT. The others for me are mountains and great water. The same feeling that unpossible to describe.

And I would really honoured to live in that monastery, where the monks live with tigers, you remember, Footiam, you and I we wrote about it? As for me, it would be GREAT.

Yes, I remember, Liudmila. And many years ago, I heard that there is a monk living in a cave with a Tiger in Myammar too; but, it's just something I heard.

Oh, I think it could be true too. The animals often appreciate good sides of the human nature.
