Liudmila,
I was so sorry to see these pictures. It is so very sad and on Christmas too. That dog was so upset over his friend, and me and my mom are very sad.

You are right, it's really terrible. Unfortunatelly animals do not understand that the car is a killing machine. Once we saved a pigeon that was on the road near his dead brother. Hope that dog found somebody who could give him love...

How very sad. And true that the dog has no conception that the cars that whizz by can kill it just as easily. I hope that one of the camera happy people who stopped took the dog to safety.

My Stassi thinks that a car can never do bad to her. She is sure, that the car is a good thing. And I can't explain her to go away from the road. She stops in the center and waits. In the same way she can't understand automatc gate. She thinks it's alive and has to open when she comes near it.

But even many wild animals don't understand that humans can damage them.

It's so sad when those little moments of humanity sneak their way into our busy lives =(

If you want to be further outraged by people's (in this case US Soldiers) careless inhumanity to animals, you might want to check this out.

Just a quick warning though, these videos could make dog lovers sick to their stomachs :(
